In this module we design, teach and deliver age-appropriate sports/fitness
related programs for children in 3 to 5 years age category. The primary focus is to expose
the child to basic locomotor skills, postural control skills, grasping/manipulative skills and
reflexes. Most of these skills are taught in a playful way and is a successful format for
several preschools and kindergartens. It is important for children to learn these basic motor
patterns to build up the foundation of physical literacy. We call it the stage of ABC’s of
fitness, Agility, Balance and Coordination. The kids fitness program specialises in fitness for
toddlers and young children focusing on children health.
